Coriolis Energy and ESB are bringing forward proposals to develop a new onshore wind farm in West Dunbartonshire that could deliver enough renewable energy to power over 90,000 homes.
Vale of Leven Wind Farm will be located on rough grazing moorland east and north east of the Vale of Leven area. We are considering turbines with an overall capacity of up to 133MW.
We will be offering the local community the opportunity to take an ownership stake in the development and seeking to work with local suppliers wherever possible to maximise the economic benefits to the local area. We will look to partner with West Dunbartonshire Council to ensure the project’s environmental and economic benefits stay in the local area
The project will contribute to West Dunbartonshire and Scotland achieving Scotland’s climate change target of net zero emissions by 2045.
We are following all Scottish Government advice in relation to Covid-19 as we progress our plans. We have created this website to provide a way for the public to easily access information and contact us while we progress our plans.
We expect to hold public consultation events both in-person and online. We anticipate holding the first consultation events in September 2022 and will update the project website and advertise the events in the coming months.
Coriolis Energy is a specialist independent wind farm development company. Our team is amongst the most experienced in the sector and has to date successfully completed over 100MW of operational onshore wind farms with a further 700 MW currently in development.
